A classy outdoor, rustic wedding was the vision for our bride and groom, Lauren + Ben. The Barr Mansion was the perfect venue for this bride and her groom! Everything from the flowers by STEMS Floral Design to the reception band, Spazmatics, was captured by the wonderful photography team, Stephanie Davis Photography and Jerry Hayes Photography! These sweet moments made the happy couple's wedding day that much more memorable. Join us as we take a look back at the journey of becoming Mr. & Mrs.!

And, yes, that is the UT canon that was shot off by the University of Texas Cowboys during Lauren & Ben's first kiss.

 

The weather was perfect for this beautiful couple! The cocktail hour took place in the backyard of the Barr Mansion, aligned with round tables decorated with vibrant floral designs. The guest enjoyed drinks as they awaited the arrival of the newlyweds, Lauren and Ben!

Inside the Barr Mansion, round tables filled the space joining the wooden pillars creating a rustic setting. The guest were treated to an evening of dancing, delicious food, and a dazzling night with Lauren and Ben.

Lauren and Ben were a lovely couple and we, The Fairy Godmothers, were so honored to be a part of their wedding day! From the planning to the picking of vendors every part of this experience was joy! Congratulations, Lauren + Ben!

Real Wedding: Rachel + Kevin

Rachel and Kevin were such a fun couple!  Their personality was reflected in several ways throughout their wedding day from her blue shoes to the well wishes sent in by her guests hanging over them as they exchanged vows.  Stems Floral Design created a romantic candlelit ceremony and the father/daughter dance was one of the most creative ones I have ever seen that involved a hat dance and the groomsmen throwing roses.  We only had a short amount of time to work with this sweet couple but by the time we sent Rachel down the aisle we felt as if we had been with them through the entire planning process.  There were so many moments throughout their wedding day where it was evident that this couple is crazy about each other, and thanks to Hyde Park Photography, those moments were captured here!  Enjoy!

Our role was very different for this particular wedding. Abby did the planning, but our day of services were much more involved than normal. Because all of the Barr Mansion managers and many staff members were guests at the wedding, we were in charge of all of our normal "day of duties" as well as overseeing the Barr Mansion's staff. The wedding was gorgeous! However...our team was EXHAUSTED! Abby and Corey were great to work with and well worth the effort, and we always love working at The Barr Mansion.
