Fabulous FG Friday Cocktail: The Bramble

So, what's that you say?  Why don't we ever post any cocktails with gin?  Well, to be completely honest, I hadn't found a gin cocktail that I had ever cared for...until recently.  My husband and I were on a date, and we had a little time to kill before dinner.  We stopped into Drink.Well.  I was introduced to a gin cocktail that I actually loved. 
I did a little exploring, and found the "Bramble" and love that it's a great summer cocktail with fresh berries and twist of lemon.  Sonic's light airy ice is my favorite in drinks like this, so I buy Route 44 cups of ice.

 The Bramble

• 1 3/4 oz gin (can also be made with vodka if you really just do NOT want gin)  
• 3/4 oz lemon juice
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 3/4 oz crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, or crème de mure
• blackberries (and lemon twist) for garnish
