A sweet summer picnic made to look effortlessly and casually placed actually needs a bit of planning. For this look, we layered linens and heirloom lace cloths to create interest and texture atop the farm table. From our collection of vintage pieces, we added a mix of vintage milk glass compotes and a white ironstone pitcher. This ‘collection’ approach works best with a long table as opposed to a round table. Simple blooms in keeping with the era we’ve tried to invoke were daisy mums, garden stock, hydrangea, baby’s breath and playful craspedia or ‘billy balls’.
