I don't care for cake. I know, it's shameful. There are some truly amazing pastry chefs in the area, and I will eat an occasional bite, but rarely a slice. However, if I'm handed a piece of really good Italian Cream Cake, I can't.resist. So, in true fashion, we needed to create a martini for the namesake. After many renditions, this one "takes the cake."
Italian Cream Cake Martini (version 1)
2 parts Cake Vodka
2 parts Vanilla Vodka
2 parts coconut milk (solids removed)
1 part amaretto
Cream cheese frosting and coconut flakes for rimming the glass
Italian Cream Cake Martini (version 2)
2 parts Cake Vodka
4 parts Vanilla Vodka
1-2 parts Almond Joy coffee creamer
Cream cheese frosting and coconut flakes for rimming the glass
Shake with ice, pour, and ENJOY!
