Pin It TRAVEL!  The secret is out.  We have been your Fairy Godmothers for Weddings & Events for over 13 years, and now, we are also your Fairy Godmothers of Travel!  For years, we have worked with Skip Neal over at Honeymoon & Getaway Guru, and he has taken great care of you for us.  After much discussion and planning, we are branching out and have become an Independent Sub-Agent of Getaway Guru as The Fairy Godmother of Travel!  What does that mean?  Well, we are a legitimate travel agency with accreditation and training.  I have already immersed myself in studying, discovering, and obtaining certifications to better serve you. First up: Hawai'i, Aulani, Disney, Disney Cruise, Disney Adventure, and Universal Orlando.  Our primary focus is all International Travel (including cruises), Disney, and Universal Vacations.
We are here to assist you with your bachelor/bachelorette vacation, destination wedding, honeymoon, anniversary, family vacation, or romantic getaway.

Real Weddings: Katie + Nick

You see it in the movies all the time. A pretty girl attends a wedding as a single guest, hoping that maybe there would be a handsome and available guy there to sweep her off her feet and dance the night away. Well, not only was this how Katie and Nick met but they soon became each other’s happily ever after and no surprise to those who know them well. Katie has been nothing but smiles from her engagement pictures around Austin to their pedicab exit from their fairy tale wedding at the historic Chateau Bellvue and Josh with AzulOx Photography has been around to capture it all!  I love the tenderness and the spunk that you can see in each of these lovely images.

Even though they call Seattle home now, they met while in Austin. When Nick found out he needed to move for work they created a “bucket list” of things to do in Austin. Little did Katie know his bucket list included a proposal off the iconic Austin 360 bridge. Katie began the next chapter, planning her Fairy tale Wedding!

One of my favorite things to do with my brides is talk about who they are, how they met, and incorporate their personalities into their wedding day. It’s the easiest way to leave your guests talking about your event long after the night is done. For Katie and Nick they incorporated their fairytale story in the details like their table and seating arrangements.

Each guest found their name listed under the name of a city that held some special meaning for Katie and Nick and at the table a picture and a story to tell them why.

Nick loves forest green and Katie wanted lots of purple. I love how the talented floral team from Stems Floral Design pulled together these romantic designs with a just-picked-from-the-garden look.

In addition to the traditional bride and groom’s cake, their dessert table boasted some of the couple’s favorite treats from Sweet Treets Bakery including lavender decorated lemon bars, cannolis and cookies.

Even their place settings had a little bag of lavender meant to share a little piece of something special from Nick and Katie’s home.

Real Wedding: Alison + Erik

Pin It Every wedding day is unique. From the hand-picked flowers to the linens placed upon the tables. From the intimate ceremony to the fun filled reception. Each wedding is different but there is one factor that ties them all together, love. Alison and Erik Peterson embodied love, joy, and excitement on their wedding day and we were fortunate to be a part of their extremely sweet day! Enjoy their journey! It sure was a magical one!

Every girl needs a group of best friends who are there for her on her special day! Alison had just that for her wedding day. The bridesmaids brought fun, smiles, and excitement as Alison prepared to walk down the aisle!

Alison and Erik’s bridal party was made up of their closest friends who celebrated Alison and Erik from their engagement to their wedding day!

It didn’t happen until it’s photographed, right? This wedding was one for the record books! The dance floor got the party started with the awesome Michael Stacey Band, the cakes were delicious, and the party ended with two families joining together in harmony! Cheers to Erik & Alison!

Real Wedding: Kristin + Aaron

As you scroll through these beautiful images by The Mill Photography, you won't be able to miss the joy and excitement this couple shares.  Kristin + Aaron are a precious couple, and they had a wonderful team of vendors come together for their wedding day!  There are many details incorporated into their wedding day, but one of my favorites is hand-cut silhouettes of the guests during the reception by Cindi Rose of Silhouettes by Cindi.  It wasn't my first time to see her in action, but her talent is mesmerizing!

 

We encourage our clients to have a quick private meal before joining their guests, and they are ALWAYS grateful that they took this time to enjoy the moment alone.  It doesn't need to take an hour away from your event, but even 10-20 minutes can allow you to savor these monumental moments together.

No, the super heroes were not guests at the wedding, but that didn't stop them from congratulating the couple upon their exit.  You can see the surprise on the faces of the couple. 
*Side note: This is not the first time we have had super heroes arrive at a wedding without invitation.
