Kelly + Jim

A Fairy Godmother's wedding...
Kelly & Jim are a couple that radiate love.  It was evident throughout the day that love, family, and close friends are of utmost importance to them, and the groom's parents' home was the chosen site for the ceremony and reception.  The bride, flower girls, and some of the bride's closest friends got ready at Vintage Villas.  Then, the couple did a private first glance on the Vintage Villas property so that they could get most of their pictures taken before the ceremony.
The guest sign in and cocktail area was adorned with birdcages, flowers, succulents, books, and a handmade "love" sign that greeted guests and covered the unsightly basketball goal.

Table arrangements were diverse and consisted of wooden boxes, burlap, mason jars, driftwood, flowers, succulents, and candles.
Fans were available for guests as they entered the ceremony and were displayed in a small basket with a chalkboard sign that all nestled on a wine barrel.
Koozies were available at the bar, and another chalkboard sign listed available drinks and the "signature drink."

Word of Mouth Catering perfected the bride's menu vision.  Each item was labeled with a tiny chalkboard stake in a potted succulent.

Five wedding cakes by Tony Sansalone at The Driskill were displayed on cake pedestals perched on a wine barrel.

The bride's nephew (and escort down the aisle) takes a turn "spinning" with DJ Miles.

Intimate Wedding at a Private Austin Residence

Pin It Fairy Godmother Dawn met the groom on a recommendation for a Realtor. After speaking to each other daily and he sold her home in Round Rock (in only 3 weeks!), he contacted her because he had proposed to his girlfriend. Enter the Fairy Godmothers.

The couple described a casual intimate wedding and a small budget for their exchange of vows at his parents' custom home in Austin. Their meeting with their Fairy Godmother assisted in setting realistic expectations for a wedding at home and an appropriate budget. Many people think that having their wedding at home can save them bookoos of money, but they don't take into consideration table rentals, chair rentals, catering kitchen needs, comfort stations (portable buildings with upscale bathrooms), lighting and electrical requirements, possible tenting and/or draping, and heat/ac.

Below, you will find amazing pictures of the casual yet elegant outdoor wedding - all of the images are courtesy of Austin photographer, Eric Hegwer.
