The Fairy Godmothers
had the opportunity to work with Sarah and Patrick on their fun weekend wedding
at Horseshoe Bay. The couple chose a modern pallet of grey and yellow, which
looked gorgeous against the blue skies and lake.
The ceremony took
place on the Magnolia Lawn, complete with a handsome young ring bearer
introducing the bride in a top hat. The bouquets of yellow spray roses popped
beautifully against the wedding party’s’ long grey dresses.
Guests were serenaded
during the cocktail hour, which featured the couple’s signature drink, a lemon
drop martini with smoking dry ice. This also gave guests an opportunity to
complete the personalized mad-libs, which the couple will get plenty of laughs
at for years to come.
Since the groom is a
pilot, guests’ seating arrangements were printed on adorable paper airplanes,
placed along a custom landing strip, created by Stems. A vintage airplane topped the groom’s
chocolate cake, while the bride’s cake incorporated the color scheme in the
grey branches and yellow pom flower adornments.
Miles with Texas Pro DJ kept guests dancing all night with hits from every generation. And not to miss out on a good time, the couple’s adorable dog made an appearance in a tux! After
being showered with rose petals, the lakeside wedding was complete with a boat
send-off for the newly weds.
