Pin It Shannon's mom called us months ago.  She had been referred to multiple planning companies in the Austin area, and she called several.  She was diligent in asking questions to each person that referred one about the planning company.  In the end, we were priveledged enough to work with them.  The entire family has hearts of gold.  We felt like their family by the time the wedding day came.  There were some real trials during the planning process: change in venue and caterer (after already booking), death in the family, and all parties involved were in different cities across the U.S. 
I would like to take you through some of their wedding over the next few days.  We don't have the professional pictures yet, but we have some from iPhones, Droids, and a few from "real" cameras belonging to the family.  Here are the wonderful vendors that made Shannon & Will's wedding perfect!

Today, I'd like to take you some of the planning process.
After interviewing 4 florists and receiving bids from each, Shannon selected Abby with Stems Floral Design.  Below are pictures of the bride, one of her bridesmaids, and the mother of the bride seeing a mock-up table. (Fairy Godmother, Skylar, and Event Designer, Ken Sharples, are in the background looking on.)

Summer Pruett of Stardust Pastry put together some sample items for the candy and dessert bar.  Below is white chocolate mousse with blueberries.

Homemade marshmallows, macaroons, and specialty candy.

These pictures are from the Driskill tasting.  The Driskill's food is truly amazing.  These were some of the options given to the family for the "big day."  The family is then allowed to make changes - large or small - to their selected items.  Often, this is one of the more important items to couples.

Tastings are one of my favorite vendor meetings to attend!  It allows us to get to know the family and spend some time seeing them interact.  We learn about their likes and dislikes, and it's always FUN!
